- Been busy with work after my Kenting trip, and also catching up with a few dramas that i don't have time to update here =p
- My wonderful colleague gave me a pleasant surprise by treating me to Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast! (she bought it all the way from KL to work for me~~~)
- We finally went to Mono @ St James to celebrate Ricko's birthday for him! Mono is really quite worth it if you're into singing, drinking, eating and clubbing~ less than 40 bucks for everything!!!
- I have also signed up for Standard Chartered 10km Marathon =) It's going to be a family event for us haha..
- Just finished making 2 bookcases today..out of 2 empty A4-paper boxes and 4 pieces of wrapping papers! Total cost: $2 (boxes come free while wrapping papers are 10 pieces for $2~)

今天知道有个刚认识的朋友做了个很有勇气也很独立的决定...
她最近毅然决然的辞去了工作，前一阵子只听她说她会去美国玩几个星期，谁知道今天就听到她决定去墨西哥学西班牙语，打算在那里至少一个月，也就是说很有可能会无限期在那里逗留（前提是她的签证都办妥了）。
我听到消息后的第一个念头：“哇，她也太大胆了吧~”。因为我这个朋友长得很美，白皙的肌肤加上微卷的长发，是那种男生看了就会很想保护的娇小型女生，她竟然打算只身前往异国，而且还是去这么长的时间！我之前就已经知道她是个有主见、独立的女生，没想到她的独立性远远超出了我的想象...（呃...当然，她也是需要有相当可观的麦克麦克才可以做这么大的决定）
一直都很向往出国念书，就算是花上一个月的时间学一种语言也好，怎么样都算是出国念书的一番体验。但是现实往往都是和理想背道而驰，总是以许许多多的理由（抑或是借口？），充满理性的说辞告诉自己，理想不是不能实现，但是...对，就是有很多的但是...
所以这就是为什么我觉得我这个朋友非常有勇气，能够做下这样的决定。当然，若她最终决定在美国落脚，对我们这一群朋友也不错，因为我们去美国时就不怕没有免费的地陪了，住宿也不会有太大的问题了，哈哈~
虽然已经传了简讯给她（她不让我们知道她什么时候离开，因为不想让我们去送机，但还是很贴心的给每一个朋友留了张小卡片），还是想对她说：Chris, take good care of yourself and I am really proud of your independence and courage! Will miss ya lots!

Thu msged me yesterday and asked me for my office address, which aroused my suspicions and when I questioned her upon meeting her on the bus after work, she just brushed it off by saying that a friend wanted to know, which confirmed my suspicions that there was something amiss..
True enough, I was concentrating on work today when my boss walked over and told me that there was something for me outside. So when i walked out and saw that bouquet of flowers, i immediately thought of thu. It was rather hard to ignore the stares when you practically have to walk around the whole office to get to your table and when the bouquet of sunflowers were so big! I called thu but she didn't pick up so I msged her and she called me back within 5 min..
Thu: So you got your flowers?
Me: Yah, was it from you girls?
Thu: No.
Me: Then who's the person?
Thu: He already gave you cactus previously and still want to give flowers.
Me: Oh, it's him.
Yes, my dear tudi, thanks so much for the 'surprise' though I would say choosing Thu to be your accomplice was, like what you said, the weakest link haha..and we shall forget about the cactus story (my fingers are just not green ok?haha..) Though I had to carry it around after work and will be subjected to rounds of interrogation from my colleagues and friends, I still want to say the flowers are really very nice and it's really sweet of you to think of this as a surprise, though it's belated (and you're forgiven~) haha..
So do you still want your daisies or roses? =p

Here's Part 4 and should be the final episode of my bdae episode for this year =p
Went for ktv with Ziling and Xiao Yi and we really sang till drop coz there's only 3 of us throughout that 7hrs =p and we had a good laugh at the H1N1 influenza preventive measure taken by the ktv. Let me share the picture and you will get our laugh ;)

After that, we went to Seafood Harvest for our dinner as I have a 1-for-1 voucher to be used by 6 May and we were totally confused by the waiters as they kept telling us different things..
Waiter No. 1 told us this before we went in: This voucher can be used for ala-carte food items.
Waiter No. 2 told us this when we want to order: This voucher cannot be used for any food items with lobster but can be used for main course. (so we had to choose our items again)
Waiter No. 3: This voucher cannot be used for combo platters as platters are meant to be shared by more than 2 people so they are not considered main course. (I wanted very much to ask so people don't order platters as main course, they order platters as appetizers?) (and so we had to change our order again..)
Waiter No. 4: This voucher can be use for only 1 main course with lobster item and the second free main course has to be equal or lower value but no lobster item. (and we finally managed to order our food!)
See how the confusion? These guys seriously need to consult my professor in Service Marketing - One of the Golden Rules: Always know your product/service at the back of your hand so that you do not end up confusing your customers and worse, make them leave with bad word-of-mouth. Fortunately, the food served was rather good and that appeased us a lot =)
Desserts were settled at MOF and we totally enjoyed the service and food =D (ok, I admit i have a fetish for japanese food and i have a sweet tooth so maybe that explained why i enjoyed my desserts at MOF)
Thanks, my dearest cousin and aunt for the ktv treat, you ladies will always be among the top 10 kakis for my future ktv sessions =D *muacks*

Part 3 also took place yesterday but it was in the evening with my family. We were supposed to have dinner on my birthday but my brother has to book in to his camp for night duty and my mum already fixed a lunch appointment with her secondary school friends so we decided to have dinner together one day in advance.
As my family don't want to travel far and i don't want to have the dinner in cwp, we decided to pay Sembawang Shopping Centre a visit and patronize Aston's Specialty there (the deciding factor was that the food there is nice and cheap according to my mum's friend =p)
and..i really have to give credits to my mum's friend for the recommendation! everything about the dinner was fantastic! the queue was long but we only waited for 10 minutes before we were ushered in, the service was prompt as our orders were taken even before we went in and after sitting down for 10 minutes, our food was served piping hot =) the only downside was that we were seated outdoors. No complains about the weather as it was quite cooling in the evening but there was an outdoor playground just next to Aston's and throughout the whole dinner, we were surrounded by shrills and shrieks of children running around in the playground -_-
i have always and will always enjoy the company of my family during my birthday and without them, i won't be who i am today. Mom, Dad, Hang, Heng, thanks for being the special someones..I love you all~! *muacks*
p/s: you might have realized by now that there was actually no celebration on the actual day of my birthday! not that i mind given the many celebrations that i had and am going to have tomorrow haha..
